Teya Keplia
Origin: Brooklyn, New York
Status: Centered at the wheel, heavily armored in metal, and operating entirely on her own frequency.
Occupation: Ceramicist, ritualist, and founder of The Turmeric Times.
The Core Philosphy: Moving with intention is a discipline, not a retreat.
Teya Kepila operates at two distinct speeds: hyper-fast to get things done, and rigorously slow where the craft demands it. The Brooklyn-based ceramicist and founder of The Turmeric Times bypassed conventional paths at seventeen to bankroll her own independence, shaping a life governed by self-trust and somatic ritual.
She views both clay and clothing as honest extensions of inner headspace, functioning as tools to be lived in, weathered, and mended rather than placed under glass. To Teya, getting dressed is simply an internal tune-up: sharp tailoring, a stack of heavy silver armor, and the quiet refusal to rush.
Teya's Edit
For Teya, living with intention is not an aesthetic retreat but a daily discipline, using the grounding weight of clay, metal, and personal boundaries to stay anchored in a city that never stops moving.
